Not long ago I was once very tempted to fill my sketchbook pages with all different Zentangle patterns. I had a couple of goes and decided I love it but that was it, as it is a kind of relatively time consuming format of art, and within a certain pattern, there are a lot of repetitive work, though I did realise that the patterns can be endless and never the same.

The one on the right side is so far the one that I am the happiest about. Not all of them are my original design, but I did invent some. It is actually my left hand. Not kidding……people know me well would recognise it as you can see the big joints being the primary feature of my hands.

It took me quite some time to finish this. However I was very relaxed about it and not really rushed for the end. I just drew whenever it was possible, between phone calls at the work, while biting my lunch, or pretending listening in a meeting.

Many people say that doing Zentangle is a way of meditation. I agree. But I guess I don’t really want to meditate or being still to search my inner peace. For the moment, it is not my priority , or I already have it (not)? :-)
