It’s been raining since last night. I had some expectation to go for “hiking” today just get some fresh air and do some exercise, but the plan was blown up by the rain. I changed it to practise Yoga at home. I actually really enjoyed it. After an hour’s practise, I felt so relaxed and the whole body got warmed up and ready for the day.

Recently I have experienced such kind of strange feeling that I actually feel the needs to practise more. This thing just grows on me, seriously. I am even thinking to keep doing this at my own pace for a while, instead of going to a class.

Actually I was kind of slack since I finished my last Yogalates class in this May. Since then I didn’t enrol in any Yoga class even though I found one in Queanbeayn with intermediate class on lately. It was just too cold to do it I suppose. My body has been hibernating.

However my home practise has been going very well in the past month. I have a couple of favourite Yoga DVDs that I enjoy deeply. The one from Crunch is my timeless favourite. Every time I feel really crappy of my body, I just go for that one. It’s easy to follow but I do get engaged from the tip of my head to my toes. Some of postures are not easy but still relatively quite manageable. Every time I finished it up, my body just felt so good. By the way, the teacher in the DVD, Sarah, seems very nice. It’s like a bonus :-)

Another one I love is Power Yoga. I have 3 short sessions focusing on different practise on body, named stamina, flexibility and strength. Each of them is about 20 minutes, but I can only cope to have two sessions at one time. Can’t do all 3 in a row. It’s too much. With Power Yoga, I love its flowing process and how it’s connected to a natural settings. Actually I get sweat every time in the middle of session, and I felt cooling down on the second half.

I haven’t touched Power Yoga for at least 2 months as it is more demanding on its practitioners’ body and I have been so out of practise that I had a feeling that I might not cope very well. But I am planning to get to it next week:-)
