I’ve been asking the question “Can I make cream myself?” since I tasted the scones with fresh whipped cream at Tathra. Then I know fresh cream is actually some good stuff, if I can get away with the thought about my weight and avoid the feeling of guilty for a moment :-) But I was told by someone that the answer to this question is “not with a cow”.

Okay, I got that. If I can not make cream myself, I have to buy it from the supermarket. Of course there are a wide range of products available in the supermarket, but the last one I got was back to 4 years ago. I found that I had to keep a bottle of cream in the freezer after I open it. The problem is we don’t consume cream very quickly. And if we wanted to have it, it’s normally kind of in an urgent situation. But it would not be handy to use right away if I have it in a freezer. So I ended up not buying them.

Until yesterday, I found the whipped cream actually can be stored in a compressed bottle and be squeezed out nicely without worrying about frozen things. I was lightened up by the idea and bought one home right away.

I was so amazed to find out it’s working perfectly, just as what I thought it would be. So I used it on the top of scones I made this morning and also made a cup of hot chocolate for my husband for the afternoon tea. He was actually happy with it, not like usually he does, blaming on me buying the stuff with too much sugar and fat.

I also have a recipe for Mocha Coffee from ISI North America website. I will definitely try it some time this week. By the way, Mocha coffee is my favorite drink.

1/3 cup chilled whole milk
3 Tbsp. chilled heavy whipping cream
1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1 Tbsp. confectioners’ sugar
1/2 tsp. instant coffee
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract Swirl to dissolve all ingredients before charging.

Enjoy!!!!
