We always heard people talking about “double bricks”, “fake bricks”, “wooden structure” in the real estate industry, but don’t quite understand the concept of what they actually mean in the real world, though we had been to quite a few construction sites to see how a new building is being built, like this super modern complex on Cassidy Street.
To me, a person who was brought up in a place where a construction site were always full of brick layer workers, piles of piles of bricks, steels rods, I always wondered how a house built with these funny materials, like boards, wood and some faked bricks laid outside the structure can stand wind, storm and whatever the natural forces.
Obviously I came at the wrong time, which is not hard to understand. You know, as a knitter, we all used to see mess for months before a pupa becomes a pretty butterfly. The final finishing of a house, of course, would be brilliant. Every ugly bits will be all covered up, by paints, shinning windows and landscape plants. No one knows what’s going on underneath (except the builders)
