I went to Young today for a business trip and came back safe and sound. My husband is always worried a lot when I am travelling in the region like this. I suppose it is because that most of places I travel to are the country towns, normally the distance varies between 1.5 hours to 3.5 hours. Though the roads are not too bad, the driving can be a little bit tricky, especially when I need to be there at certain time and had never driven there before.

Now because I have Vivian, I also have to make the trip within a day and make sure I can pick her up from the childcare before 5:30pm, which all added the pressure to the travel. Guess what? This is the thing about being a parent. All I have been thinking while driving on the road was “I must drive safely…I can’t afford to have anything happen on me….Think about V….She is waiting for me….do not take a risk…. ” I guess this helped.

Now I understand why some parents say that they live for their children. It does not necessarily mean that they don’t have their own life or everything in their life is about their children. It more means that they choose to be strong for their kids as they know that they are needed by them.

So I didn’t really have a stay in township of Young, though I do know a couple of interesting shops in town that I did enjoy the visits in the past. I simply had my business done and came back straight away. Anyway, on the way back via Wombat, I saw this endless golden canola flower field which I just couldn’t give it a miss. I stopped for about 5 minutes and took a few photos, as a kind of souvenir for today’s trip.

We will come back for cherries later of the year anyway.
