When I got back from the work, I noticed that the communal lawn beside our place has been mowed. Apparently this must had happened sometime during the daytime. The grass that used to grow high enough to hide a little kid has gone, and the whole lawn looks like a newly vacuumed green carpet with the trimmed grass scattering all over. Even the wild plants in front of our door, which used to nearly blocked the view of our ground floor window and make a great nest for thousands of ants has also been destroyed either. The air was full of the smell of fresh fluid of wild plants.

We could not help stepping on this piece of great work and tried to feel it by our feet. The discussion between me and my husband went with totally two opposite sides. He goes he felt a little bit regret to see it done although he has been wondering if there is someone who actually would take care of this crazy-growing grassland, while I was imagining the relaxing picture of walking on a green soft suede blanket without worrying about a snake jumping out from inside to bite my legs, and the number of flying animals like flies, mosquito or other little bugs would dramatically decrease and no longer attack my clothes hanging on the lines above the lawn.Anyway we finally came to a conclusion that I could demonstrate the fact with the ironic evidence that “they do mow the lawn” to my Mom and Dad who had also witnessed the past of the grassland and had the same question that my husband has been wondering for a long time. In relation to the different opinions that I and my husband is holding, I am going to make it a pending event until we have our own lawn.
