We didn’t intend to do any big housework today, but ended up doing something “Huge”, which was cleaning windows, including glass and window screens. The good thing is we can take the half of windows off the frames and do the wiping safely.

The whole thing was triggered by both us looking outside through the dirty bedroom window. My husband got curious about if he can remove the glass. He tried, then he made it happen. Since the things have been taken down, it seemed there would be no any good excuse to put it back just as it was, so we decided to do something about it.

It took us about one hour to do both bedrooms’ windows. I was in charge of window’s screen, which needs to be done outside. I found it fairly easy to do as there is no greasy stuff stick on the screen, what I had to do was just wipe the screen several times with a damp cloth until the dust comes off. The only part I don’t like was the dust sucking into my nose, making me sneeze. My husband took the part of installation and cleaning glass window with his long handled car brush, so he can do the other side of window without worrying about the issues of OHS :-)

One hour later, I can’t believe what we’ve achieved….It nearly feels nothing. The view from the window looks much better than before. Normally I don’t wipe window a lot, not a monthly house work in my list. But I do sometimes feel necessary to do so, so I believe I do this kind of thing much frequent than most of other housewives. However, looking at today’s result, I would say I should do it much more than before. There is nothing like clean windows at your home. It totally changes your mood and gets you feeling good about where you live.

The same night, Mom told me over the phone that she asked professional company to do the windows today as well. What a coincidence!
