This morning I noticed the big smoke was all over in the sky. The air looks a bit blue & foggy and I can feel it through my nose. I thought Canberra is having a bush fire again, and it might be not very far away from the fire spot to where I live, but I was wrong.

According to ABC online news, the bush fire actually is happening in Victoria and the smoke is taking its direction & heading to east. I couldn’t imagine how severe the fire is. How come the smoke gets crossed the border of two states and getting here in NSW? It must be a Smallville or a really big bad fire.

Anyway the Department of Sustainability & Environment says the winds have eased, and the threat has been downgraded. I hope this is the truth. A spokesman for the department also says the residents should still be prepared for the situation to change. Well, this is the attitude that we always are expected to hold in the summer time.

No danger is really far away, so never think you can get away from what other people is suffering. Like I said, this is a small world. The fire comes much faster than what you thought it could do. If it sounds too crazy to start to water the roof of your house, at least clean the falling leaves in your backyard every week or do some things to prevent the situation getting worse when it arrives at your door.
