I love this movie, almost every little bit of it, the storyline, the themes, the scenes, the performance of Edward Norton (he is so calm, but so stunning) and Naomi Watts (always better than what I could expect) and the most importantly, the touch, and how the story interpreters love, romance, loyalty between married couples and a kind of universal compassion exists in human being or any ordinary person. I would definitely watch it again at some point.

The nun in the movie is very wise. Also the director knows what’s the best timing for everything. It’s so smooth and so natural and so human (including human’s kind sides and evil sides). Like Walter said to Kitty “I indulged myself to love you once….” That’s LOVE, based on one’s passion. But there is more in our life worth our looking into, and that is DUTY, mostly like the mission of our life, and a kind of deep feeling for the whole world and other people.

Whether you can carry out that duty of your choice, it will depend on your virtue, your belief and your inner power. Sometimes it can be absolutely simple, like Mr. Wardington’s girlfriend who was played by super model Lv Yan. All the reason you need to know is “because you are a good man”.
