The way to Fyshwick has been driven by me for at least xxx times, but it’s never been dull. In the past 24 months, my husband has always been there sitting next to me and excited about pointing out my mistakes on operating this monster car. I have never enjoyed a single one trip to Fyshwick as this sort of 2-in-1 shopping and driving practise arrangement made me so stressed about not being perfect that every time by the time I got back home, I felt so exhausted.

Now things have changed. Today for the first time I drove the car on my own to Fyshwick to do our weekly veggie and fruit shopping. Without someone nagging to me along the way, I almost remembered what the freedom really tastes like :-) Holy good, I loved it so much!

From Queanbeyan to get cash, going to my office to get a couple of things that I would need over this weekend, then to Fyshwick to buy veggies and fruit till coming back to Aldi to do grocery shopping, I almost had it all. I couldn’t have cared less about the heat and sitting in a steaming hot car being cooked. I turned on the air conditioner and my favourite CD “Make This Moment”. The other people’s cars were passing by and so was mine. I had a load of shopping bags in the boot which included a potted basil that I always have been wanting to buy from Fyshwick, as my first time driving-to-Fyshwick souvenir.

You know what? I smelled of the air of freedom. It exactly smells like my basil :-)
