Since there was a post about my last day, I reckon I’d better to make one called “my first day”. Here was my first day. Generally speaking, I did enjoy it. I moved my stuff from the old room to the new room. Spent a bit time get the desk set up with all I would need to have to start my new job. I even had an intake in the early morning which was quite an urgent case that I had to deal with immediately. I was surprised that my tongue today was working really well and I don’t know how I did it. I almost didn’t need to think how to organize what I have to say. The speech just came out from my mouth.

So for the first day, because of what I have done, I had been called “an angel” once, made booking twice, and canceled once. Also been to the service station once and cash out $150 from the Council’s Cashier once. At the end, I found myself actually did a bit of everything today, both care planning and admin. I was asked by the boss to still carry on with all the accounts before the new admin person kick in, and I guess it will go for a while like this as the ad will not be posted until this Saturday on Canberra Times. Well, I can’t simply say “no” to these nice persons in the office :-) I just gotta find a way to get a balance in the next 4 weeks (they will find someone within the next 4 weeks, will they? Otherwise I will have to ask to get double paid….hehe).

I also have been designated as a team leader of an initiative. It’s absolutely the extra work, but at the moment I am secretly looking at the possibility to go to Sydney or other major cities to attend program meetings, so I can meet my friends up in Sydney or have some opportunities to travel around to check out beautiful land of Australia. Well, this is the part of me being a little woman, not a professional worker. Haha, I wonder who is not actually thinking as I am?

Another thing I need to make a decision is my working time. Choose between 8:30 to 4:30 or 9 to 5? The boss said it’s my call. I will think about it tonight.
