A ‘Good Luck’ card and a butterfly hanging décor, big and warm congratulations, freshly cutting hydrangea and Russian Sage on my desk and the morning tea…what else more would you need from your colleagues on your successfully passing a driving test? :-)

Pink Hydrangea and Russian Sage that
my colleague picked from her garden this morning

When I woke up this morning in my bed, I realised that I didn’t have to sit another test and what had happened yesterday was not a dream. I put on a big smile. Well, I am not sure if I am a good driver yet, but I am definitely not one of “The Last Chance Learners” on that TV show.

Our new Chinese neighbour told us that it took her 5 times to get her pass the test many years ago. What was I supposed to think and to say? I was lucky…never been with any paid driving instructor in my life, had put up so many yellings and screamings from my dearest husband, sitting in a steaming hot car sweating like a pig for several hours, particularly in this summer, had practised the amount of hours more than anyone I had ever known (my log book shocked the RTA officer over the counter and my examiner as well)…..did I deserve what I’ve got? :-)

My colleagues forced me to put up one of my plastic red P plates on the glass screen of my desk. Bloody perfect. Now everyone knows that I am a red P :-)
