I made this tea light paper cover last night. Since the last bit of job was done, I couldn’t wait to get a photo of it so I can start to show off.

It’s such an interesting project that is combined with simplicity and complexity. The final result is wonderful and I enjoy lighting up the candle and just looking at it. My God, it’s so beautiful and I think I could have stared at it the whole night long, especially the flickering shadows cast on the wall.

Seriously I can’t believe I made this, and all I had ever needed is a sheet of A4 card stock paper, a craft knife and a little bit glue. The rest of it is in YOU…… Believing in yourself, a bit patience and a heart that wants to create.

The project is created by A Little Hut, and you can find a full tutorial about it. She makes wonderful wonderful things that are so inspiring.

I used the writing pad back paper, you know those brown paper at the end of a writing pad? It’s slightly thicker and rougher than normal card stock. It doesn’t look very pretty at day light, but it doesn’t matter when the night falls:-) Why? I didn’t even own a white card stock paper (so I am not crafty at all) and I just want to make the project more recycling featured.

Send me a photo if you ever make one yourself as I really want to see.

Happy paper cutting!
