This is the 3rd year I lodged my tax return through the Internet. I do so is not that I love to do so, it’s just that I couldn’t think of a better or more efficient way to deal with it other than doing it myself. Lots of people I know asked accountants to do it. They pay for it and the next year, they claim the fee fully back. However, their situations are much more complicated than mine. Half of them have family business; all of them have family benefit, allowance, kid issues, super or other stuff. Comparing to them, my thing is like a 2-years-old, absolutely straight forward.
But one thing I feel I would never be able to figure out is why, even with my case, the amounts that I calculated in the e-Tax application always have several hundred dollars difference from what I actually got back each time. I am glad that it’s an affirmative figure, not a minus one. But it could be up to $400 to $500. Well, I am also glad that Tax Office people didn’t return me how much ever I estimated; otherwise I would have missed too much but having no idea about what I missed
Brian shifting!…..This year I’ve been quite open to using an accountant, but finally it ended up to be lodged electronically. Nothing new really happened, but at least there was a thought
It’s just something gotta to be done every year.
