Recently I watched a couple of movies about stories happened in 1940s to 1950s. I have to say that the female characters looked really gorgeous and decent. The way they talk, the way they walk, the way they act, is just full of grace. They are very restrained and do think of other people and respect others.
I know this sounds a little bit crazy and maybe too old fashioned. But I do love their manner of not jumping on someone’s bed and have sex with whoever. I guess nowadays this can be hardly seen on women. It’s a pity that people is not shamed of their greediness, disgusting thoughts and mad behaviours. Instead of being proud of having virtues, people are now proud of the idea of their desires having to be met instantly and unconditionally, and seriously you can see that there is nothing they really care about except their super big EGO.
The Four Cardinal Virtues: Temperance, Prudence, Fortitude and Justice.
Sometimes I do feel that I need reflect myself occasionally to see if I have been doing the right thing in my life. I guess my point is nowadays people still need some sort of standards (moral principles) in their life. If we don’t have a line and just go with flow, we could end up anywhere and become a very ugly person.
I love this note:
The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything. Four things to take note of in life…
1. Live simply.
2. Love generously.
3. Care deeply.
4. Speak kindly.
