Emily’s friend is called Tabetha, who is actually a teddy bear wearing pink skirt and lace head band and a ribbon bow. I noticed her when I was passing through her desk and out of the curiosity, I asked the name and what’s the meaning of it. It’s not a usual name from what I know, and I wondered where it’s from and what it means. Emily couldn’t answer and she promised to find out later.

Lunch time was the time she let the information out. We were having the Turkish. She announced that she had looked up all the meanings of the girls’ names in this office.

Surprisingly, according to my workmate’s finding, Weiyi means having sexual appeals. ?!@#$%^&*????????? I don’t know where she got that. It’s even not supposed to be in the database in most of Western name websites as it’s a Chinese name. How could she get the meaning without knowing which Chinese characters Weiyi stands for? Never mind~ It’s too hard to explain to her, especially it has culture and linguistic stuff involved. I just laughed about it. She didn’t get to find out what Tabetha means. Well, I did… a while after.
