Day time saving is over, so when we got up at 10am, it was actually only 9am. Suddenly we have one hour extra, what a bonus! Well, from now on, we, people living “down under” is only 2 hours earlier than people in China. I don’t have to ask mom and dad if they have had the dinner while I am in the bed already sleepy.
The weather also changed greatly. I had to put on the leg warmer, long pants and a knit cardigan . It is very windy outside though the sunshine is great. Thought a big full hot breakfast might warm the day up, so I made some sultana corn flakes with hot milk, omelette & bacon, and baked Turkish bread topped with sliced tomatoes and shredded mozzarella cheese. It’s a pity that I forgot taking photos, but tell you that the Turkish bread with red tomatoes and creamy coloured cheese looked really appealing, and tasted great!!!
But a nice breakfast didn’t change anything. I still hate cold days, especially when indoor feels freezing. This early morning when I smelled the air, I somehow recalled my personal bad experience of Canberra’s winter, and the days when I was sitting in a cold room, struggling to find a job and no one responded.
Suddenly I felt that I was in a mood to read some poems from Song Dynasty “……天与秋光,转转情伤,探金英知近重阳。薄衣初试,绿蚁新尝。渐一番风,一番雨,一番凉。黄昏院落,凄凄惶惶,酒醒时往事愁肠。那堪永夜,明月空床。闻砧声捣,蛩声细,漏声长……“
