I can’t believe I actually bought a net of stones back home, which costs me $1.49. It’s not expensive if you think the way that if you pay someone the same amount of money for going out and collecting half kilo of stones you like on the roads. Who would take this kind of job from you? It might have to take more than 2 hours to pick up stones, wash them and dry them through. For the lowest standard of wage I have ever seen in this country, you at least need to pay them 2 x $7.00=$14.00. Would you spend 14 bucks for a net of stones? No way…..Well that’s what I am saying by “not expensive”.

But if you look at in the other way – you are buying stones which are not made by any manufacture or human hands, but from the Mother Nature. You can get them thousands out there in the wild; you would think “why I have to pay? I must be crazy if I pay for them”, just like you pay for soil, dust or air. It would absolutely sound absurd.

But, you are living in a well-developed earth. You are too busy. You are too lazy to go out and bend down to look at the ground. You don’t know how long it would take to collect 300 stones with right size, right shape and right colour. And, you are allergic to sun, soil, pollen, ocean breeze and organic materials down there your feet. So, you go to the shop and you have your alternative options to be a faked naturist, like me :-)

I want to use them to cover the soil in the flower pots. I haven’t been that crazy yet to use them as the decoration of a candle holder plate. But I have to admit that they are beautiful on the appearance and smooth to touch. The shells I used to collect on the beach of Botany Bay can retire now :-)

By the way, they are “Made in China”. How weird it that @#$%^&*!?
