It’s my very first fitted knitwear and it took me a lot of time figuring out right shaping by increasing and decreasing the stitches on all the pieces. Actually with lace pattern (even it’s a quite simple lace pattern), the shaping of this cardigan had caused more confusion and I am so glad that I don’t have a mushy head and have always been good at mathematics
Otherwise I don’t know where I would end up.
Also I am glad that I chose the right size 36″ and the wet blocking did work out to allow all the ribs expand finally and give the cardigan a reasonable decent finishing look. The ties in the front look gorgeous and I couldn’t wait to wear it with other clothes to see how it matches with other colour.
Well, colour….I think it’s a pretty pink colour and normally pink suits me quite well. But this one is slightly a bit of too dark for my skin tone and the texture of the yarn actually draw more attention than the design itself.
Did I mention that the yarn is at least 15 years old and my mom bought it in Germany when she went over for a business trip up there in early 90s? Actually she also bought a blue colourway one. But I doubted if she had ever finished knitting anything with that
I guess she has her stash and I wondered if one day I would end up exactly just like her
Anyway my knitting plan is being carried out slowly and smoothly. This is the first knitting project with my Chinese yarn. There are at least another 4 in the queue.

Wow – the yarn is gorgeous!
And the finished product is really beautiful -congratulations!!! =)
