Yeh………..!!!!!

It’s my very first fitted knitwear and it took me a lot of time figuring out right shaping by increasing and decreasing the stitches on all the pieces. Actually with lace pattern (even it’s a quite simple lace pattern), the shaping of this cardigan had caused more confusion and I am so glad that I don’t have a mushy head and have always been good at mathematics :-) Otherwise I don’t know where I would end up.

Also I am glad that I chose the right size 36″ and the wet blocking did work out to allow all the ribs expand finally and give the cardigan a reasonable decent finishing look. The ties in the front look gorgeous and I couldn’t wait to wear it with other clothes to see how it matches with other colour.

Well, colour….I think it’s a pretty pink colour and normally pink suits me quite well. But this one is slightly a bit of too dark for my skin tone and the texture of the yarn actually draw more attention than the design itself.

Did I mention that the yarn is at least 15 years old and my mom bought it in Germany when she went over for a business trip up there in early 90s? Actually she also bought a blue colourway one. But I doubted if she had ever finished knitting anything with that :-) I guess she has her stash and I wondered if one day I would end up exactly just like her :-)

Anyway my knitting plan is being carried out slowly and smoothly. This is the first knitting project with my Chinese yarn. There are at least another 4 in the queue.
