The race that stops a nation is today. The horse I bet was so close to that point but finally lost the game. Her name, Portland Singa was mention several times during the racing, so was David’s sweep Railings. I felt sorry for that, but I didn’t really feel disappointed at the result. Liz sadly said to me that she blew up 8 dollars. Comparing to her, I only donated 2 dollars to this great national entertainment. Most of people I know did not win, but it was such full of fun. I don’t know if David had drunk a couple beers in there (I was still with my pure water bottle), but I do believe it was a good occasion to drink something.
The winner’s rider was like a hero getting around the show ground. Did he really make people rich? It’s said that the winner got injured before the race and the result was a little bit out of people’s expectation. That’s why the reporter in the television said “it’s a great story” again and again. Actually I don’t even care about that, I know nothing about racing, horse or gambling. It is just all about fun, which is more important to me.
