After have finished this vest, I came up with two decisions.

One, I decided in the next 6 months, I will only buy the yarn dyed with one single main colour. The reason for that is, in the past 4 months, I bought two different kinds of yarn, which all have several shades of colour or several colours. They both looked pretty cool and appealing for the first sight, but the effect of final knitting is not that impressive. Comparing to those single colour yarn, the final texture weakens the taste of the style and pattern’s beauty.

Two, I decided to knit a real sweater in the next 2 months, no matter it’s for myself, or for any of my family members. I’ve been knitting two many small items, socks, bags, hat, scarf, gloves, shrug and vest. None of them requires the skills that a real sweater would ask. A real sweater, means it’s at least composed of two sleeves, front and back pieces, and should, side & armhole seams. I feel the urge to do it. And it’s the time to do it.

However, as for this vest, I am quite happy with what I’ve achieved. I like the Dianna Sparking’s mohair touch and sparkling glitter thread, also once again the simple design from Jo Sharp’s Contemporary Knitting Issue 1, which makes the project almost a mindless knitting.

I am also happy with the shaping for the waist lines and under the arms. The vest fits well, and feels quite warm. It’s just perfect to wear it over a white office shirt or any light and bright similar colour shirt in the office with air conditioner.
