I started a knitting group on Ralvery last week. It was just the other day, I had been browsing some nice knitting works at Ralvery and happened to realise that I had never been able to add one of my knitting projects out of any existing Ralvery projects into their database. That project was done from one of knitting patterns of Sandra Knitting Magazines. It actually gained the most compliments from its viewers at the Ralvery.
Then I thought, why couldn’t I start a new group for those people who are interested in knitting with Sandra’s patterns, since there is Interweave Knits group and Rowan Knits group, or maybe a Vogue knitters group?
Then I did it. However, by the time I picked a logo, typed in some brief description and entered it in the system, I actually forgot all about it. I guess that the idea was brilliant and it came to my mind like a flash. Normally I am not a group person or a chatty type, and I seldom show up myself at any forum. I did join a numerous of groups at Ralvery, but never participatedin any discussion over there. People from time to time, sent me an invitation to become their friends. I very much passively responsed to them and accepted the invitation. Nothing had ever been followed up other than adding someone into a list.
But with this new group I founded, I couldn’t believe there were actually members have been adding themselves in. And there were some discussions kicking off when I was not there. So far there are 8 members in the list, from all over the world, Malaysia, USA, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Germany and Canada….there are people out there are just like me, and who find the idea practical and really got themselves into this. And behind all of that, I was glad that I was the person who initiated the group.
It was all exciting and I am kind of hoping this group will have its own moments, shinning
