How happy we are to have friends coming from far. Thinking to try something different this time, so I ordered Turkish Grill after the work. Anyway when we got the take away back home at about 6:45pm, everybody was hungry and sort of had a high expectation towards the food in the paper box.
However, my arrangement soon was proved not that appropriate and apparently too “take-it-for-granted”. My friends were totally freaked out when I was serving the food. I tried to pick up a big clip of vegetable salad onto their plates and pushed them to eat big trunk of chicken and lamb screw meat. They obviously were not used to eat something like this any more. Given that people in China actually don’t eat things in that way or in this manner, how could you expect them to swallow a big, tasteless block of meat down that easily?
Anyway the table looked quite messy and everybody got lost on what to eat. I was so glad that half an hour later, the steaming queen crabs, which were brought here by friends from Sydney, were ready. Until this time, everybody kind of started to settle down for the task to deal with getting crab meat out of the cracks. Well, I guess that is something really to Chinese people’s taste.
