Stardust is progressing slowly. So far I have finished the back, one of front tie and I am knitting the left front with a big question mark in my mind, “is this gonna work?”
In the past I had some problem with measuring the garments. I tended to choose one size up for my knitting, but the actual garment that had turned out had been always too big for me. So this time when I am working on Stardust, I decided to go to a 36” one instead of 38”. After I’ve done the back piece, I felt that it would probably ask a lot of blocking work afterwards. Partly it is because it’s a lace pattern that requires blocking anyway, and also, the knitted piece seems a lot smaller than what I have expected.
So at this stage I don’t know what it’s going to be. I have to wait to see. Worst of the worst, I can always re-do it and knit another one or knit another size. That’s called experiment. TIME, it’s only the TIME that I don’t have.
