I made these pinwheel rolls this evening. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the result. They are absolutely yummy, just right to my taste. But the most important thing is, it’s very easy to make them yourself.

Ingredients:
3 pieces of puff pastry, purchased in Woolworth, thawed;
500g pork mince, add a bit soy sauce;
Varieties of vegetable of your choice – I used one onion, half carrot, 4 leaves of cos lettuce and 3 button mushrooms. All finely chopped;

Method:
1. Heat oil in a fry pan, stir fry pork mince, then add vegies to combine well. Add salt, whichever the sauce you like or other seasoning spicies.Stir fry about 10 minutes, leave aside for cooling down;
2. Prepare the puff pastry sheet on a baking paper, spread the above mixture evenly on the pastry sheet, leaving 2 cm empty to the top border;
3. Roll the pastry sheet up to make it a long roll, you might need baking paper to help you to roll;
4. Brush the top of the roll with beaten egg, which helps to make the roll ending up a really nice golden brown look;
5. Bake in an oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes; then cut it up to the desired size to serve.

This is a recipe that particularly suits a person who desperately needs some positive experience on cooking to gain a feeling of “I CAN MAKE IT”, as I can pretty much assure you that you won’t fail :-)
