My nice long weekend plan was disturbed by unsteady weather. I initially wanted to go to Australian Botanic Garden at Black Mountain, but it was cloudy, windy and raining on Sunday morning, so the plan was cancelled and then was substituted by going to nurseries at Pialligo Road.

I had been wanting to go there in the last 8-9 months since the first time I heard it from one of my colleagues. When the time we arrived there at the lunch, I just found it amazingly delightful. Especially this time of the year, all these plants, flowers, trees seem so appealing for their visitors of the nursery. The only thing that kept popping into my mind the whole time when I was there was, “damn it, I could have been here a lot of earlier….”

We spent quite some time in Willow Park and Rodney’s. They look more like a big beautiful garden than a nursery shop. My husband and I just took a slow stroll along the small path from one section to another, checking out all the seasonal flowers, bonsai, vegetables, herbs, maple trees, climbers and indoor plants.

The air after the morning rain was so fresh. Lots of plants were still bearing the rain drops and morning dews. I was so happy to find myself actually at a place that I only had dreamed to be. It was a good rest for both my and my husband “computer” eyes. The only pity was we didn’t stop at Rodney’s for the lunch at their beautiful Cafe. Maybe next time we will, as “the boss” had make a statement that “we could come back in the future”, which was really encouraging and I assumed that he enjoyed it as well :-)

Another delightful thing that had happened after this was I bought a pair of cute canvas shoes at DFO. This pair of light silver grey shoes have sort of up to ankle high boot design with buttons on the sides. So they can be worn also with boot turn it down over with fancy fabric on the inner side, which is like black and white fish skin pattern. A very unusual design with really good price. I am talking about 5 bucks. Can you believe it? I can’t wait to wear it with my multi pockets long grey cotton skirt:-)

What a lovely and unexpected day! Sometimes I really believe that having fun doesn’t need a lot of money.
