We went to Sydney yesterday and I got my hair cut in one of the Chinese barber shops in Hurstvile. The hairdresser who cut my hair was a lady from Southern China, possibly from Guang Dong, who was very talkative and keen on providing any information about her birth experience and breastfeeding tips.

Anyway, I was suggested to try some particular food to boost my milk supply in the near future. Yes, she means “do it from now on”, instead of waiting until after. The other hairdresser just next to us was a guy, who overheard our conversation and offered his recommendation as well. He told me to get red papaya instead of yellow ones. Well, I guess I was very impressed, even I had heard of those ideas before. Now it seems that I have no other options but trying out these ideas, so I went to get a papaya and a fish after I left the salon.

Now, I am cooking the highly-recommended recipe in my own kitchen — Papaw and fish soup. This feels a bit of weird, I have to say. But the colour of the soup sounds lovely. The orange sweet papaw in cubes were thrown into creamy white soup with slightly fried fish. After one and half hours cooking, It tastes a bit of sweet but a good combination of the fragrance of fruity sweet and fish smell.

I always like the texture and smell of fish soups. Some people couldn’t stand the fishy smell at all, but to me, it’s a delight to drink something like this, fresh, light and all kind of naturely made, without too many ingredients added.

I drank at lest two third of the soup and wondered what’s gonna happen in my body. Hehe, so far I can assure you that l still don’t feel like a cow:-)
