Morning and early afternoon @ Ikea: bought some small stuff for storage purpose;
Had Thai style lunch in Food Court of Home Bush Bay shopping Town, With Jessy and Junee yummy!

Rushed to Kevin’s place @ 3pm: When we got there, I saw Kevin coming down the stairs and taking his two kids out of the building. According to the Dad, Chris wondered if we had map to find the way to his home, and both kids were excited to have some guests coming visit :-) I was like that when I was a kid, right? Why? Because I knew Mom would make something nice food and they both would be very nice to me with guest presented :-)

We bought presents for each child. A barbie bag maker set for Teresa and a track car for Chris. The group naturally formed as boys’ group and girls group. Teresa, her mom and I worked on bags; Chris, Kevin and my husband worked on toy car. But at the end, the groups mixed together. The boundary got blurred. Girls couldn’t help joining the car test, and the boys also occasionally stopped by to see what we girls were doing :-) I think I picked the right things. They are not very expensive, not too big, not too heavy, not too easy, but simple enough to draw people’s attention, also complex enough to keep a 5-7 years-old kid busy for a while. I always reckon I am very bad at gift picking, especially for kids and aged people. Now I probably could gain a bit more confidence on this.

The dinner was great. Oysters again!!!! Yeh…………but steaming ones with shallots and ginger. Roast duck with home-made pastry wrapping the meat up. Did I tell you Kevin is a good cook? And Steaming Flat Head fish, another home-made Yan Huang Gua (Salt soaked cucumber) sliced half through but still attached together. I had Lots of dark eggs (Song Hua Dan) as this is something I love but would only eat a couple of times a year. And, Chinese vegetable and meat pies. I was too full to move.

Lots of chats, lots of laugh, and lots of playing dummy with kids (I learned a couple of kid’s games from Teresa). Kids just love adult who can play like a kid. Psychology….if I want a kid like me, I always do that; Otherwise, like the kid I don’t like or don’t want him/her like me, I play an adult mask :-)

The whole night ended with a couple of home-made cappuccino, made by Kevin and his Cappuccino Machine. Love it and nearly had an impulse to buy a machine like that :-)
