When this morning I told my colleagues that I had my hair cut at D.T.’s last night, they got my favourite classic look on their faces, which I called “confusion”
Haha…!!!! They asked me why they, local Queanbeyaners, had no idea about this hair salon called D.T. in Queanbeyan. Just by looking at their funny facial expression, it would be enough for me to laugh my head off.
Of course there is no way for them to know this salon. It’s a business that my husband runs. D.T. is his initials. Yes, my husband cut my hair last night. It took no longer than 45 minutes. Apparently he was not afraid of using a pair of scissors at all. And more importantly, I’ve got plenty of hair to let him practice.
The good thing is I don’t really have any idea about how my hair is supposed to be done. I have had current hair style for maybe more than 10 years. And recently it’s getting ridiculously funny and unruly. The last time I had my hair cut was in early of this year in Sydney, and the hairdresser did nothing good. Now it grows long again and I felt that with such long and messy hair, except wasting shampoo, conditioner and lots of time, I wouldn’t get any benefit from it. So I desperately wanted to get it cut ASAP.
My husband always told me that he can be an excellent hairdresser. He particularly said so when I was cutting his hair. So I decided to give this important opportunity to show his talent. You know what? I am not 100% satisfied with the service I’ve got from him, but I can at least say his work is worth 70 out of 100. And, my colleagues told me that they actually believed that my husband has really done a good job. My goodness! Maybe I should consider about hiring him as my future new hairdresser:-)
