We are supposed to give some presentation today at the Multilingual Centre in QBN. But due to the bad weather (the rain), we didn’t get as many audience as we had expected. So the presentation became a very casual meet-up and a lovely morning tea.
The coordinator in the centre cooked a big tray of ricotta cheese roll-up pancakes (I have never thought that pancakes could be done like this) and prepared two big platters of fruit. I couldn’t imagine what would be more relaxing than getting treated in a warm cosy house in a rainy morning, having coffee, freshly baked pancakes and chatting with a few people about the history of some small European countries, whinging about expensive fee that plumber charged us and established second generation of people from non-English speaking background in this community.
Especially this is my last day at the work before I go on a holiday. I am very happy and I think this is the most lovely morning tea that I have ever had in my work place.
Now I am ready to go. Out-off-office assistance has been turned on for my work email. My desk was all tidied up and all the work has been settled well. I probably just need to kiss goodbye to some people in the office at 5pm. Then I will be seeing them next month:-)
