I guess it was my Dad gave the name of his photographic book as “Moments of Touching” (感动瞬间), which I thought it sounds quite modern and like very much. But it was not his idea to publish this album as he is that sort of person that I know very well, who does things only for having his own fun and pleasure, never thought about making a profit or letting other people know about it. It’s kind of personality actually has passed on to his kids as well (for example, me). We are both the people who immerses in our own world enjoying what we do and forgets about the rest.

Mom pushed him a bit to make this book to at least make a periodic conclusion for what my Dad has been doing in the past 15 years, mostly after he retired from the work at about 60 years old. He devoted himself in flower shooting so much and the number of photos he had taken is only to be known to himself. I never admitted that I am a big fan of him :-) , but I admit that I often was inspired by his works from time to time and truly admire his diligence and wide range of photographic knowledge. As he is such an academic research type of person and as I said, not caring about the rest of world very much, that sometimes he even didn’t know his articles had been published by some magazines and newspaper.

Unfortunately he had greatly decreased his time on photo shooting in the past a couple years as his glaucoma affects his eye vision and the perception towards colours, which I reckon is almost devastating news for him. Now he uses his ears much more than his eyes by picking up his favourite music pieces once again. And this book, is just awesome!!! and even to me, quite unexpected, given that in the past 15 years, I’ve been looking at his massive photo productions including bad ones and good ones (Dad thought only no more than 10% are good ones), and most of time, they look very similar and make me quite fed up :-)

But this book, is a versatile collection of different flowers, the lights, colors and their states, which I think the best reflects a photographer’s passion and hard work.

Hehe, that’s so my Dad!!!:-)
