We wandered at several furniture stores in Fyshwick today with our friends as they wanted to get a new lounge for their new relocated home. It’s been quite a while we didn’t do this since the last time we bought a Polo entertainment unit in Fantastic. I realised that it’s a fact that you would always find yourself easily get lost if you don’t have a particular purpose when just browsing in this kind of stores. Anyway, “just having a look” is great, especially in furniture shops where stuff displayed are so nice and you feel that your heart is being allured so much! This is all about your desire for prettier colours, fabulous interior designs and the imagination of getting a better home. Your appetite has been expended to such a large size that you thought you might be able to afford it regardless how much you earn
Well…don’t worry! It’s not referring to you; I am just talking about myself
I do have several stores I admire a lot. Bay Swiss is the one, Vast Interior is another one. Java, Décor Living and Loop have been added to my favourite list recently. I am not going to mention Freedom and Ikea. They have been going on for ages. I keep a place for them always, but not being crazy any more. I have to be realistic, which means, unless I won the lotto, otherwise I have to accept the fact that I can not get a day bed sofa from Bay Swiss, a big size abstract canvas oil painting from Vast or a Budda head sculpture from Loop whenever I like or maybe won’t get them forever. And I’d better stop being paranoid or indulging my brain filled with so many crazy and impractical ideas
However, having imagination is nice and cool. I am glad that I haven’t completely give in to the reality and still have dreams from time to time. Last time my husband and I talked about one of the possible reasons why rich people can get rich. We both agreed that the strong motivation of wanting to get rich and have possession of the best stuff might be the main factor that drives people to make an effort in their life or on their career path. Anyway, to tell you the truth, last night we have decided to buy Lotto every week from now on
