I can’t believe a pair of the curtain can change the atmosphere of the whole living room. Believe it or not! I suddenly have a favourite corner in this house…:-) The make-up work came from the craziest idea I have ever imagined in my life when my husband and I found hard to make decision in front of at least 4 colours of tab top curtains, which are soft beige, rosy red, ocean blue and light olive green. We liked the red and blue ones, and wanted to have both. But the reality says no to us because it’s going to be too lavish if we buy two pairs of same styled curtain only for the purpose of getting two different colours. We would have options when we want to change the colour but I believe after this short joy of purchasing, I would also feel very guilty being such a waster.
And then…..we both got that crazy idea….why don’t we get each colour from blue and red to make it a pair? The window will have half red and half blue look, which would be very unusual. I have only seen that kind of curtain design in an interior magazine, which gives a very exotic appearance to the whole room. I loved it very much but never thought I would have the similar thing in my house. Now we are having it ourselves.
So here they are. The semi-sheer fabric of cotton covers the bright sunshine coming from outside and gives a bit of blue and red patches to the living room. The boring window instantly became so stunning and the heart of the whole room, nearly drawing all the attention from the viewers. My two single chairs right in front of the window and the green flowered and striped printing fabric cushions add another colourful impression to the spot. The Double Impatiens salmon flowers in the pot are blooming on the window bench. I sat there and bathed in the sun, with my thoughts being taken far far away. I nearly forgot where I was.
It’s so nice that my husband and I both believe it not a normal curtain for normal home window, but the curtain for a show stage. It works its best effect when half-closed and half-opened
