Today we went to Doctor’s to see the blood test result. Not like what I had worried, neither of us have high cholesterol or any sign of getting diabetes and other fat intake excesses related diseases.
My husband’s test result seems perfectly healthy even though we worried about some very small fatty cells growing on his body. But it looks he just has the tendency to get those things no matter he is underweight or overweight. I started to believe that it probably has nothing to do with what he eats.
My test result is okay as well, except I was told by the doctor that I have a relatively lower iron level than normal people. I asked what food particularly contains high level of iron, she suggested “red meat”. Oh no, she must be kidding. Didn’t I eat enough red meat in the past? I know clearly that this is not what my heart cries for. In the past year, I almost have lost my interested in eating meat. Now I was required to get back to that, that’s not gonna happen.
Another way to build up iron is to take Ferrogradumet one tablet daily at period time as chronic bleeding inside body (like gum disease, bladder problem) or any blood loss can cause insufficient iron level. Well, this solution interests me neither. I think I would rather staying with an image of low iron blood, pale face and feeling fatigue occassionally
The Way Up page contains a full explanation of iron deficiency. Guess What? I saw a lot of my favourite food in its list of food with high iron. I wondered why I still have low iron since I like the food this much???? Bizarre….
