Did I count on having a colourful Sunday and coming back with a hand full of stories to tell or write in this blog? A little, I admit. But it turned out a bit out of our expectation. Here it went like this:

7:30 I got up to prepare the breakfast. I guess kids have been up probably for 2 hours. Bacon & eggs for little ones, and typical Chinese breakfast for adults, which includes rice congee, omelettes with shallot mince, sliced Strasburg and Mantou I made myself.

8:30 The wind started to blow and the rain drops began to fall. Our plan of going up to Mountain Ainslie had to be cancelled. There was no point to go up to 800 meters, feeling so cold but seeing nothing. The Kevin family were thinking of heading back to Sydney.

9:00 We both filled up the fuel with 112.60 cent per litre which was probably the cheapest price within the past 6 months;

9:30 We sent Kevin couple and their kids off until the entrance of country highway and said “Good bye” in the big wind. I nearly got blew away.

10:00 We got back home. I did a bit clean-up work, and then set the sofa-bed right in front of the TV. We tucked ourselves in the bed watching “Everybody Loves Raymond”. Of course I was knitting while watching.

11:00 I fell asleep finally. I can hear the wind getting wild, and I felt I was lucky to just stay in my warm bed sleeping.

12:30 Kevin rang and told us they got home safely, but he saw lots of trees had fallen down on the highway. I was so sleepy and weak at that time. I can hardly open my eyes until 4PM.

16:40 I got up (again) very reluctantly. Felt a bit hungry but at the same time felt so fed up in my stomach. We’ve got a full refrigerator of left-overs need to be cleaned up. We ate half of them, dumplings, Chinese meat pies, salmon and lots of cold dishes. en….so yummy!!!!

21:30 The day went so slowly. It seemed that we’ve everything within one day, cloud, wind, rain, sunshine and crystal clear sky. I sat in front of TV like a dummy. I felt so unwell. The throat was dry, the hand skin was chipping, my right eye lid was swollen, and my wound on the right wrist started to break and yucky fluid just ran out.

22:30 I had my shower, blew my hair and up for another big sleep. The night was peaceful and warm. I hope I knew where I was up to.
