I fell off from the stairs and sprained my ankle, again……well, I should have felt lucky that it’s been two years since the last time I had the same thing happened on my left foot. Normally this sort of thing happenes on me once or twice a year and it has already become a habbit of my body. But this time, I feel it more severe and hurting, so 4 hours after the accident, I decided to go to emergency department to make sure there is no fracture on any of my bones.
I didn’t get X-Ray done until today’s morning. We got back home last night about 11pm. Doctor said there was a good chance that I had cracked my bones as the swelling was really massive, so he treated me with a plaster sling and gave me a pair of crutches to help me at least move around. So I really had a nasty night, sleeping with left ankle wrapped in rockie-hard plaster and I felt like my left toes almost were frozen to death. It sores all night but amazingly I actually did fell asleep, except I can only sleep with one pose.
X-Ray shows a negative result about fracture. There was no fracture that has been seen. Lucky me!!! So I don’t have to cancel my Yoga Class in 2-3 weeks, neither do I have to wear this plaster for 12 weeks. But I still can’t use my left foot even a bit. According to the doctor, there must be an invert bleeding and soft tissue injury inside, and what I can do at this stage is almost nothing except resting it for at least 48 hours.
Now, I don’t have to cook, wash, mop the kitchen floor, dust the furniture, do laundry……I am walking with crutches, climbing stairs by hands, sitting on a small stool to get shower done, rolling into the bed from my husband’s side, and not having to be the first person to get up in the morning. And, I’ve got doctor’s certificate to have two days sick leave. Aha….. I finally got the respite I’ve been looking forward and living a life as if I were in the heaven
My left ankle hurts? Well, it doesn’t really matter now. I have had paid the price

Be careful! Last time I fell over on my left wrist. Swelling, X-ray, plaster, sling and so on. Very discomfortable when sleeping. Seems like that plastered part does not belong to me. Both of us are lucky because there is no fracture at all.
