I’ve been toying with the newly bought laminator. This is one of the benefits that I can have in my position. The laminator comes in with another 5 pieces of A3 pouch that ran out very quickly as I have a big range of things need to be laminated and put up, including the Floor Plan and several procedure sheets. The work has been held up for quite a while due to lack of laminator. Nobody wants to walk 5 minutes up to HACC to get things laminated. As a result, we bought our own.
The bloody thing goes so slooooow! I nearly fell asleep when it was working. As there is no noise made from this machine, I feel the time for each sheet even takes longer. It’s all about the temperature reaching to a certain level to make a chemical process happen. It’s amazing to see what happens on the other side of the machine. Paper becomes a hard board card, but the words are still clear. However, you can feel it by smell, the smell from the chemical material after the heating-up. I felt like I was working in a plastic factory….no, not as cool as aroma therapy.
My husband has laminated our TV channel guide and his statistic method sheets. He is going to do the wash machine instruction. I somehow agree that for some of stuff, laminating is a great option.
