Tonight we went to ID’s Movie night to help my husband’s dragon boat club with fund raising. I didn’t expect to see so many people out there. When we got to the Manuka Great Union, I couldn’t believe there were already at least 100 people holding their wine glasses and chatting with each other.
I met some of my husband’s boat mates. Some of them used to work in pairs with him, and there were also others whom I met before in Café shop after their training. The girls looked gorgeous when they dressed up with a feminie look which I have to say much attractive than when they are wearing the sports wear in that boat. I was hooked with one of member’s mother, who is also my colleague. We chatted a lot about her son who now is the president of Canberra Dragon Boat Club and selling $1 each choc and biscuit in the cinema. However, my husband was left aside by me. I even didn’t finally sit with him as when we got in, it was too late to find 3 seats empty together. But I guess where I finally sat wasn’t a good position.
The movie tonight was Matt Damon’s Bourne Ultimatum. I saw last two episodes, and was looking forward to seeing this third one. However, as we sat too sideway and too much front sided, I found it very hard on my eyes to take shaking scenes of our super assassin Jason Bourne’s constant running and beating another guy.
The temperature in the cinema room was quite high. I saw some of people starting to peel the clothes. I was sitting there, feeling the way watching a movie without my husband sitting next to me. It was very strange, and I suddenly realised that I haven’t been in a movie with anyone else for many many many years. I am kind of not quite used doing this without my husband’s occasional whispers beside my ear
