Jessy will get married tomorrow. We’ve a very good excuse to travel to Sydney again. The funny thing was when we arrived Hurstvill, the place we used to live, we came across the celebration of Chinese New Year held by Hurstvill City Council. The whole Forest Road was closed and according to Leaders, more than 40000 people are expected to come over and join the event (mostly supposed to come from St. George area), no wonder we couldn’t find a place to park.

Actually it was more difficult than the situation during the Xmas time, but it was really a surprise for me and my husband, in a nice way. We don’t like the crowd, but we don’t mind sometimes having a little fun with the crowd. My husband bought a You Tiao (fried pastry stick) as since we left China, he never had a chance to eat his favourite You Tiao. I was just an order obeyer to get that You Tiao for him, but I had been a little creative, I asked the man to give away his calendar for free gift:- ) My favourite part was to see the plants in one of stalls, where I can find all kinds of pretty indoor and outdoor plants. Some of them are really hard-to-kill cacti and succulents. Maybe this sounds strange, I do love normal flowers, but I like cacti and succulents. They have different kind of beauty, and seem very special.

The whole afternoon we were shopping, walking from one Asian shop to another. It was exhausting, but we didn’t really feel that way. My husband’s UNSW classmate just bought a unit in Kograh, so we planned to spend the night in there. We were warmly treated by the hostess and host eating out in Yang Zhou Restaurant and made ourselves comfortable in their new home.

The night was quite humid and hot. We once again brought with our own quilt and other bed manchester, spending our night on the floor, actually on a piece of puffy carpet. It took me at least another one hour to fall asleep. I was thinking of the exciting and crowded Sydney, enjoying the evening’s breeze coming from the windows, and tomorrow’s wedding of Jessy and Juni.
