It gets really hot. It’s said the temperature would go up to 34 degrees at the top. Apart from spending a couple of hours in Fyshwick doing the weekly food shopping, we did our best to try to get away from sun and heat wave as much as possible. The car was like a sun baked room and completely not suitable for human being’s long stay. I have started to think if I have already got the following stuff ready for the coming summer days.
- Sunscreen, at least SPF 30. I think I still can use last year’s Nivea spray;
- Sun glasses; I almost have them on all year around;
- Hat to block the sun; but better with breathable fabric. My cotton light beige one would be okay;
- After Sun cooling gel. Last year I bought a blue mint flavoured gel which was pretty good. The brand is Australian Face and the price is only several bucks; it works better after chilled. It also can be used as a daily normal face moisturizing gel;
Extra stuff:
- Durable plastic water bottle for carrying around all the time;
- Chamomile tea for cooling down and treating the heat inside the body;
- Long sleeves tops. Camisole liked girls’ singlets look trendy and cool, but not good to protect being attacked by Australian sun;
- Comfortable sandals but better prepare the foot care products as well;
- Lip gloss with UV protection;
- Want to get tanned? Try the Tan lotion this year?
- A calming heart; Do not rush….COOOOOOOOOOOOOL Down
