I made these red roses out of some coloured printing papers. As you probably know, making origami roses is my ultimate origami project. I am always fascinated with them and want to be able to make them myself.

There are many different types of origami roses would come up if you search on the Internet, but there is only one type I can manage to do so far. The rest, remains a mystery to me. I, either couldn’t understand the instruction ,or failed to follow an instruction. It is very hard if you just watch a video and try to keep up with it without a real person giving you any tips.

The one I made is called standard rose. It is simple but good enough for me. I made some calyx and stem as well so they look like a real thing.

I picked one for my husband today, plus a box of chocolate. Happy Valentine’s Day:-)
