So far in my life, one of the most difficult moments I have to deal with is to cut my husband’s hair. For me, it’s a long, painful and frustrating process. I already had started to whine probably 3 weeks before the day that arranged, feeling very anxious and stressed about it. To tell the truth, if there is any chance that I can get away with it, I would love to pay for it But there was no joy. It’s all happening this morning, and I have to face it, with my trembling hands holding one of the most despicable tools in this world, a hair trimmer.

Oh God, I hate this job so much. It takes me hours to deal with something that’s supposed to be done within 5 minutes. No. 5, then No.4 then No.3… I went down the numbers of the trimmer but never can get the hair right and equally long….. But I’ve got my husband’s hair cut off from his head all over on me, on the slippers, on my pants, on the hands, and on my face….it’s disgusting…I went from10 o’clock to 11, and then till12:30pm….I cut and cut, my right hand got numb and numb. 2 hours later, I felt nothing but mowing a piece of lawn, except this piece of lawn is not green but black.

It was my happiest moment when he said “ok, let’s call it a day….”, as my mood had already gong down to this low that I doubted if I could stand going one more second. Then I spent another 45 minutes vacuuming hair on the bathroom floor, tapping and picking hair off the clothes and washing up all the tools, aprons, combs and scissors….This is so insane. I don’t see any joy coming out of being a hairdresser or cutting someone’s hair at home. And I wish I will never touch them any more in the rest of my life.

Now my husband’s head is almost bald, which is what he likes to be for the coming summer. I did what I was asked, but I don’t feel any good about it. I can hardly recognise him as the man I married to I guess I will get used to it after a while, but with a price I have paid, God no……
