I signed a new contract with 3G four days ago and have been busy working on my new Sony Ericsson handset that is said to be one of the smallest and lightest 3G handsets on the market. I didn’t expect to get too much surprise from my new mobile and service carrier, not that I am not interested, just because I have known too much about the latest techonology progression and how much a cellphone can do to please people and meet their needs. On the other hand, I have never been a big fan of using a mobile. I just need to make calls and answer calls. I’ve already got my iRiver and Canon digital camera in my handbag all the time, what I need a 2 Megapixel and MP3 function for?
But I do care about the ringtone like how they sound and the display on the screen (how nicely they can present a picture) because I am such a visual person. I don’t think there actually has an option for me to get a handset without a camera and MP3 but having 265k big screen and supporting MP3 ringtongs, so it’s more like a whole bunch package. You get this and meanwhile you have to get that. Another reason for me to do that is I have gotten tired of Optus prepaid. It is still a realistic deal for me because I don’t have many calls to make, but with more friends using 3 or getting on the plan, I seriously think I could step to the next stage to make myself more accessable for others. Optus prepaid like beginner’s tryout and plan thing is more like a serious game. Want to know how long I have been acting a beginner? Let’s me count….1..2..3..4..and half years. Congrutulations! I am a standard player now
Anyway it’s been good. I love my new handset and it’s easy to use. 3G is fast although I don’t use it to watch Tele and browse the network very often. I think I did the right thing when I handed my last LG mobile handset over to Mom in this May. I did realised that it also would give me a good reason to get a new phone in the future. By the way, my handset is white, and my ringtone at this moment is set to “Bathed in Dawn’s Light” (from Kevin Kern).
