I must be getting so old that I can see my wrinkles on my feet :-) But if I ignore them and concentrate on my newly finished project, I generally feel quite happy and proud.

It’s still too early to wear them now, as the summer hasn’t really ended. But it’s always wise to start to prepare for it from now, so when the cold hits, I will be in my warm footies walking around in the house :-)

I didn’t expect it to be such an easy project, no knitting in the round, just some increase and decrease and a bit of sewing up at the end to form the shape. It fits perfectly with a little stretching, and it looks like rather a boat shoe than a sock.

The flower as the embelishment can be knitted in whichever way you prefer. I didn’t use the original flower pattern (5 petals). Instead of that, I knitted a 9 petals 2 layers rosy flower for the embelishment. I think it works very well.

Sometimes I really love making small things. You can sort of get to see the outcomes in a short period of time. If you’d like to make this, here is the free pattern for you to download.
