Now I have a duplicate blog site at WordPress. The full link is http://chengweiyi.wordpress.com.

Don’t get me wrong. I still love Blogspot because of its flexibility and capacity to allow bloggers to create many things in one place. The 3 main reasons for me to make a duplicate blog at the WordPress are because:

  • I have been wanting to try WordPress for a long time, as I saw lots of beautiful blogs from this blog host. I wondered why I can’t get one for myself;
  • When I was searching the templates for the new blogger, there is very few available over the Internet. While, I accidentally found a lot of WordPress templates to my taste very much. I was urged to own it no matter the effort to keep a duplicate blog site. I am a person likes to change all the time. Just can’t stand one face all the time. I would rather having different cheap rubbish to try out for each day than having a timeless classic forever;
  • I found WordPress actually is much easier to operate. It really suit a dummy who wants to get a balance between good presentation and poor HTML knowledge. I don’t really think my knowledge on webpage management and edit is poor. It’s just not good enough;
  • I was frustrated with some Chinese visitors not being able to visit my Blogspot site sometimes, although the situation is changing slightly, but I wondered if WordPress would work better for those who have been filtered by Chinese Internet Management authority. If it did work, let me know :-)

The thing triggered me finally finish my movement was my husband’s email introducing how to move my stuff from Blogspot to WordPress just with one button hit. It actually only took me half an hour to complete all the work. I was amazed by the speed. So thank you hubby :-) I know you are very resourceful person!

I am still working on it, including updating my profile and creating more pages. I enjoy it very much! Let me know if you agree with me :-)
