I found at least 480 knitters have done this project in Ravelry. It’s such a popular pattern that I couldn’t just ignore it, even if I didn’t have proper yarn to make it. Yes, I hate variegated yarn so much that I had sworn never ever knitting any garment with the yarn that has more than one colour. But do I remember what I have said and do I learn? No, not at all.

I desperately wanted to get this done and I desperately knitted it every night (That’s why I managed to finish this project no more than 3 weeks). It is a quick knit and almost mindless knitting, but the yarn choice makes it look odd and I don’t know what the hell was I thinking when I picked this yarn up from my stash at the beginning.

During all the time making it, I had been thinking “what if I had chosen one colour yarn…” ? It would turn out perfectly beautiful and all the double moss stitch pattern would show off nicely and beautifully….Alas, that’s why I say never knit your project with yarn that was given by someone else.

But you know what? I love the warmth that this jacket provides to me, and it does fit very well. I think I might knit another one later with the proper yarn (if I do rember my swear
