My driving practice is progressing slowly. Yesterday, I drove to Dickson and did some Chinese grocery shopping. This was a big step for me, but nothing would be considered as “BIG” enough to my husband.

He still picks on me and does all the yelling stuff. I wonder if all other learners had ever gone through this sort of things from their “senior” family members and how they dealt with that.

This afternoon, once again he pushed me to practice kerb side and reverse parking. I was in shit mood after had prepared the teaching materials for the whole morning (look, this is another story. I don’t want to start it now).

Anyway I drove him to the BP station and get the fuel filled up. On the way home, my husband guided me to drive the car to Spotlight. I missed an intersection to turn right, then soon I found myself actually driving the car on the winding road up to the mountain to Batemans Bay. Now I got my nerves up. “What the hell is this road leading me to? It doesn’t look there is a way to go back. I don’t want to drive on the mountain roads…”

Luckily we found a private property beside the main road that I can get in and do the returning. The view up there was beautiful and easily oversees half of Queanbeyan City. However, I was totally not for this. I quickly did the U turn and drove the car rushing down the mountain road like a panicing bird being hunted by the the hunter and going back home.

Was it a terriying experience? I bet my husband would say “no, not at all” :-)
