Sunday was supposed to be a busy day, but we took another direction by spending the most of the day in the Canberra Centre, which has been extended so hugely that we couldn’t get our heads around in there until we left. The way access to Superbarn has been blocked, and there is a new extension building built holding more shops and stores, even the Big W. Cinema and JB Hi-Fi also moved into the building from the City square, and I saw lots of my favourite stores like Craft and a brand new big book shop Broader.

Some of the shops are my must visits, like Lindcraft although I only spent 15 minutes in there this time as I had to consider my poor husband’s personal interests which might not be there. We checked out almost all the kitchen ware stores, trying to find an appropriate stainless frypan, but didn’t see anything we like.
Everywhere was crowded like a Chinese swimming pool. I thought all Canberra people has come out today, doing the last shopping before the Xmas.
Our highlight of the day was the Santa’s Storyland set up on the hall of upper level where you can find 12 different scenes of how Elves are working hard to help Santa to get ready for the Xmas. Some of the scenes are very sensational, like Mail Room, Stocking Factory and Decorating Workshop. So cute and colourful!!! I couldn’t get my eyes off them like a child. I took at least one picture for each scene; I will bring them here after I download them.
Over the all, I love the atmosphere in the shopping centre, although people over there looked a bit desperate
