Idea:
My husband suggested to go to some professional cleaning supply shops to see if we can find some different cleaning products from what they provide in supermarkets. So we went to Fyshwick and spent a couple of hours checking around. We compared a couple of things that we were interested, and decided to take a 5L Resolve degreaser and sanitiser from Cleaning World back home.

Price:
$18.00 for 5 Liter. According to the shop assistant, 5L bottle will keep us go for at least several years. And usually this product is to be supplied to industry cleaning, like hospitals, restaurants or other commercial settings. Because of our previous experience with professional cleaners, we believed that this is something we are looking for and we are kind of looking forward to seeing some magic happen in our kitchen.

How it works:
Dilute liquid with tap water with a ratio about 1:20 which was recommended by guys in the shop, but it will depend on how old and how heavy the greases are. We used about 1:10 at the first place, but very quickly driven by our impatience, we changed the ratio to 1:2 which was very strong.

What we did was spay the diluted liquid on any place that seems greasy, leave it on for about 10-20 minutes. The grease melted in front of your eyes, which was amazing! After 20 minutes, get a scrubber to slightly scrub it and rinse it over or wipe it up with a damp cloth. You don’t need to scrub too hard as if you left the liquid for long enough, the chemical thing would have worked well. We were surprised to see that even the fan over the stove got cleaned up.

Result:
It’s coming to the end of the weekend. I feel pretty exhausted after had been a kitchen cleaner for two days. However, I am very happy with the result we’ve achieved. Most of kitchen has been cleaned up and it looks pretty good, at least from the surface :-) The only thing I haven’t got time to do is refrigerator and inside the cabinet. Now I am thinking how often I should do the same to keep the kitchen clean and shinny all the time.

But thanks for the Resolve degreaser. It really helped to reduce the workload and save lots of scrubbing and wiping. It could have taken me double of time to do the same loads of work.

So at end of it, I do say “there is no magic”, but I would recommend this product to others to work on their kitchens, especially on those kitchens which are used to cook Chinese dishes. One thing I have to mention is this product is totally smell free which is unbelievable for something that really can clean :-)
