I thought I don’t need Xmas as an excuse to do any shopping, but after spending two weekends at Woden Shopping Mall and still looking forward to the next visit, I guess I no longer know what I am doing

In the past one month, I have bought two pairs of flip-flop slipper, one pair of Yoga track pant, one pair of sunglasses for myself, not mentioning two fry pans, a laptop soft bag and a new set of cordless computer keyboard and mouse.

However, funnily enough, the items on my shopping list seem not going down at all. The desire for materials possessions becomes greater and greater, and it seems to be directing to the mental and emotional satisfaction Do I need a reward for my hard work of last year? I seriously doubted it. Or I was simply under the influence of what’s happening surround? I would never be able to tell.

But I can see the relationship between money and people is full of drama of love and hatred. For most of people who are living in this modern world, there is just no ways to make them feel better, other than spending the money they had struggled to earn. Today, Xmas no longer belongs to rebirth, profound meaning of giving, but a celebration of retailers and commercial operation.
